Barbara Dietz
Barbara Dietz
Barbara Dietz holds a Master degree in Economics (Dipl.-Volkswirtin) from the University of Munich and a doctorate (Dr. phil.) from the University of Bremen. Currently she is head of the Department of Migration and Integration at the Institute for Eastern European Studies, Regensburg. In 1999 she joined IZA Bonn (Institut Zukunft der Arbeit) as a research fellow. Barbara Dietz conducted a series of international research projects. The results of these projects have been published in numerous scientific journals. Additionally she is involved in university teaching, advanced training, and consulting activities.

 

Her research is focused on: East-West migration, migration policy and the economic and social integration of immigrants from Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union in Germany and the EU.
