Alina Christova

Alina Christova is a fully trained lawyer and works on her dissertation about the implementation of international human rights standards in the Russian Federation under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alexander Blankenagel at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
She studied law at the Humboldt University of Berlin and served an internship at the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation in 1998. In 2000-2002 she worked as a senior research assistant at the European Centre for Comparative Government and Public Policy within the project “Public Sector Reform in Central and Eastern Europe”. She taught criminal law at the Law Faculty of the Humboldt University of Berlin and supervised a bilateral exchange seminar on international criminal law at the State University Tbilisi (Georgia). She did her practical legal training in Berlin and New Delhi (India).
Main fields of interest are public international law, European law and East European law.
