Ulrich Brückner received his PhD in 1996. He has organized several seminars for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in the field of European integration, labor market policy, as well as economic policy. From 1994-2002, he held a Jean Monnet Chair for European Integration in the Department for Political Science at FU Berlin and since 2003, he holds a Jean Monnet Chair at Stanford University. Ulrich Brückner is a visiting professor at the University of Ljublijana and a board-member fo the institute for cultural diplomacy.
His areas of interest are institutional developments in the EU, external affairs and eastward enlargement.
